Training 8

Training 8.

Really today there wasn't alot to be said actually, cuz we spend 50% of the training just getting briefed about the strategy that La Trobe is going to emphasize this year, and so i think it would be not appropriate to post it up here so i'll just leave it down like this.

After that we did some practice with crossings and finishing and finishes today's session. Event though its just a short session today, but it stills giving me a hard time, the reaction time has now decrease to shear times of within 0.x seconds literally. So hard to react, but i still can handle it. Still remember the Steven guy ? Damn he rocks again today, pulling out some nice angle covering as well numerous save. And he's size really is Schmeichel-like imposing ~ then i found out, he's just 18 this year, but has been playing since 6....................

If i were 6 and i have such, no, be that if i were 12! And i have such training, i would have had the quality and ability even higher then him, i know for sure!

But then again ~ T.T

Match day with Evergreen 8 *and possibly the worst day of my life in Australia*

7.00 am- Woke up, brush teeth, grab my usual cereal for breakfast when i grabbed a live cockroach instead~~~scared that the cereal may have cockroach in it, i didn't eat it and juz have a glass of milk.

8.00 am- Train did not go on time, one train was 'missing' from its usual timetable and this leads me to a late meet up with Top.

9.00 am- Goes to fetch Ken with Top

9.45 am- At Ken's house having tea and a game of pool before ready to go to the airport to fetch Victor.

11.00 am- Arrive at airport. Was crowded as usual.

11.30 am- Got out with Victor .

12.17 pm- Arrive at Point Cook, Victor's house.

12.30 pm- Went to get battery for S13.

1pm-2pm- Fuckin messing with the S13 at the fucking wrong time.......ended up with no fuel in the car, the car just didn't start at all, even if we've 'engineered' a new way of connecting battery. The hammer and bend method instead of the 'go-get-a-suitable-one' method.

2.30 pm- Arrive at my house to get my stuffs for the match game at Blackburn, shitty pitch.

3.30 pm- Arrive at Blackburn High School for second half of the game. But ended up starting for the opponent team as they were down on 1 person. I'm hungry, weak, dizzy, tired, and almost 90% fucked up yet im soooo excited for today's game, why?! Cuz i wanna prove to them how far have i improve, and i wanna see it for myself as well. At this stage i dun really care bout how much i can achieve for myself d, its more like how much i can achieve FOR my teammate. Thats all i care for now. And being there, playing for a group of strangers......why should i pushed myself, do all the hardwork, slam my body on the ground, all for a bunch of strangers that wont even remember me 15 minutes later?! I have some good save, but all the 'drama' just gets on me badly today.......i lose all sense of excitement or whatsoever on the pitch.

Im not saying who's wrong or right cuz i just can't be bothered. I, unfortunately, live in group of friends, who, if they did something that drag u down and put a mess on u, you can't say anything bout them, cuz we're friends ya ? Nothing is more important than friends ya ? They wont be ashame of what they've done and to the best effort not to repeat such things again. Im downright pissed and crossed today cuz of what my friends did it affected my mood, my game, my day, my everything, and frankly,

wat can i do?

Training 7 *Extra Training at La Trobe*

Today we have an extra training stint at La Trobe uni once more, it starts at the morning, thats why i leave a prelude post back then. Today's training was once again, more to dynamics and core strength, which is the cones and ladders thing again, only a group of not more then 10 were doing this as most of the other ppl were doing their interclub game, which is a game between two sets of 11 players from the team sparring. This was done to carefully hand pick the senior team, and the junior team.

The dynamics were not bad, we did a whole lot of range consists of runnings, dodging, sprinting continuous for 45 minute, it was suppose to be a 1 hour stint, but we manage to get over it 15 minute less is just, i would say, proud of my self. It was a lot of different dynamics, and by now i can only remember half of them so i wont post any pics about them on this post as it wont be complete, but i think oni Cruz will care bout this haha. Dynamics are meant to increase ur 灵敏度 as well as core strength which is more like, how well u can keep ur energy at max. Core strength is not stamina. You can run 10 rounds but at the 10th round can ur energy be the same as the first round? Core strength is what makes ur energy stay as close to the maximum as you can. So in order to perform 90% at 90 minute, core strength is very important. I think you will know how important this is huh? Hehe...

The dynamics we done are specially put up by our coach to simulate a 90 minute game. So by finishing these dynamics we used up the same energy for a 90 minute game. Back when its my third time on training i really felt the dynamics was very hard, but now, no problem, im enjoying it.

Then we rested and watch the second half of the game. Steven, one of the newer keeper is really shitting me out....he has the all around package for a keeper, big in size, confidence, skillful, agile, and good positioning as well, seeing him play really put the ques in my head that how can this man be beaten...and how can i be like him~ well we're much done with the size issues now so what can i do more to become as confident and reliable like him?? Damian or "Spud" on the other hand was nothing less than that too. Overall, what i observed from the play was almost 90% players that played today were extremely dedicated as well as flexible. All players played very simple games, a few touches, pass, a few touches, pass. This is really the first time i see quite a fast paced game actually. within 3 pass the whole field was covered. I was staggered! From the defense, bam to the right winger, bam to the left striker and there he was, on a shot ready angle. Before being intercepted by the defense again and to the middle, turn, straight pass, there was it again ~ with the striker just barely misses the far post. It is amazing ~ Simple plays and pace is whats important in a 90 minute full on game.

Back in M'sia, surely we have alot of talented players, talent isn't seem to be the problem in M'sia grassroots football, but mind is ~ Mind as in how smart a player. A good player isn't just need to be skillful but to be smart in the same time as well. And sadly M'sia player just doesn't have that, or to be more precise, they didn't get 'teached' for that.

"Football isn't a common sense "

This is the word i would like to tell Youngster United back in M'sia, as well for M'sia football community. When we're at Youngster, (again, Cruz will know this very very familiar), we've been scolded, why dun u run here ~ why dun u pass to him, why dun u do this do that....well the answer is simple. We didn't have someone to teach us. Teaching football strategy isn't a 10 minute thing. The most important thing is that the players, GET what's being teach, they must KNOW in their own head, how to run, why to run, and what effect it could bring, even if it had to used up a lot of time. We used up 1 session just for Football Channel, and today most of the strikers utilize this pretty good. This proves that the players get the idea of the Football Channel.

Again, this brings to the amazement of, how proper training can easily surpass the logic of using natural instinct on the pitch. As well the main objective behind it, how to fully utilize your fitness and stamina, how to be as efficient as possible, and how to play a beautiful game of football, which at the end, is the reason why we play football at the beginning.

Sentou Yousei Yukikaze

Jz finished watching the 5 episode direct-to-dvd Japanese anime, Sentou Yousei Yukikaze (戦闘妖精・雪風) which is a anime adaptation from a sci-fi novel of the same name by Chōhei Kambayashi (神林長平). It was being adapted for commemorate Bandai Visual's 20th anniversary.
The anime is a Top Gun style anime. Top Gun is the famous movie starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer that features pilots piloting jet fighters. The story revolves around Lieutenant Rei Fukai and his jet fighter B-503 "Yukikaze", a futuristic "advanced armed tactical reconnaissance plane equipped with a near-sentient AI (artificial intelligent) computer system" and their battle with JAMs (aliens basically...) that has tried to invade earth in the last 44 years of the futuristic era. Unlike normal 'alien invasion' stories this one doesn't include too much of what IS or WHAT the JAMs are doing invading Earth. This anime is very much, a serious anime that is full of action and as well as 0% funny moments. What makes this anime quite special, is that it follows and shows real life code words, movement as well as behavior of Air Forces.

Even though it has just 5 episodes (all which can be viewed on Youtube, just search Yukikaze Operation), all 5 episodes takes 3 years to complete. Couldn't have imagine how it would be like chasing this anime in that time....

Overall, the anime gets a 9 out of 10 from me. It really really is good. The artwork is good, CGI animations are top notch, i reckon this is better then the Macross series. The only drawback is that i personally felt so attracted and bound to it i wished for more episodes, as well as more clear and well executed storyline. The origin of the aliens were never explain, the closest it gets is that it is believed to be a being that does things mathematically, like a computer, as well as some of the words and action were abit hard to understand, but this is probably due to the more mature scripts as well as imagination being played. At the end i was reluctant to watch the last epi, which is episode 5, cuz i dun wan this to end so quickly.

Thats how good it was.

A clip of the first part of the first episode...
