Air fuel mixture gauge DIY

Wat we did on school the other day...a air fuel mixture electronic gauge















Their actually available as a aftermarket DIY packet as well as it works brilliantly. The LED indicates whether your running Rich or Lean by the changes of the voltage from the 02 sensor or Lambda sensor and processed by the IC on the chip itself.















And after school spotted a Lotus Elise...stealth looking aye ~

  3. well we did hook it to a power source and it work, so if it doesn't work on your car means u didn't wired it up properly which is ur problem not the gauge ~

  5. that would depend on the accuracy of the O2 sensor itself wouldn't it ~ if it emits the correct fluctuation of voltage than it should work like it did in the class ~

  6. the only way to know is to put it in and have a wide band install as well and read, u dont want to depend on something like that to tune your engine and end up blowing it, i still dont trust it till is proven by an aftermarket wide band sensor. How much mixture do the device consider lean or rich???????

Dude, not everything is about fine tuning and things like that, do u seriously believe they really do sell cheap DIY packets at Dick Smith and that, can be the same mixture gauge as the ones aftermarket is selling ??? If thats so theres no point aftermarket like Neko Corp selling theirs at such high price. The thing is its just a simple gauge that can tell whether the mixture is LEAN or RICH, or judging by the LED there is, a few levels in between those, thats it, finished.

    It is not a motorsport-prioritized component, stop treating it like it is one.

  8. then that's no point of having it if its not accurate. As a car owner would u put something that is not accurate in your car just cause its cheap??? If so u have no passion 2wrads a car

  9. The level of accuracy in this case is just Lean, Rich or in between those, same as....i dun know, a normal car's narrow band O2 sensor ?????? Its just a simple school project and is not meant for any fine tuning or such.....get over it ~~
