SSC Ultimate Aero II

The main competitor on Bugatti Veyron's world land speed record was this, the Shelby Super Car (SSC) Ultimate Aero.

Which has a 6.34 L (387 cu in) Chevrolet based SSC Designed Billet Aluminum V8 Block engine with a supercharger, later replaced by a twin turbo unit, producing 1,280 hp at 6950 rpm, all the while running 91 octane fuel..@@

They surpass the Veyron's land speed record of 408km/h to 412km/h ~ But ever since the Veyron Super Sport have done a new land speed record of 431km/h, SSC have unveilled their new weapon, the Aero II

It will have four-cam 6.8 liter twin-turbo engine which will rev to 9,000rpm and make 1,350bhp

Unlike the current car, which has some steel in the structure, the new one will be all-carbon except for aluminium crash rails beyond the wheels front and back. Its transmission is the same all-SSC unit that has been proved in the current car, with the same triple-disc carbon clutch, but it will have the option of sequential paddle shifting

An Australian company called Carbon Revolution has developed for SSC the world’s first one-piece carbon-fibre wheel – the 19-incher at the front weighs only 5.8kg

0-60? SSC claims 2.8secs and max speed at 275mph

Exterior wise, think it will beat the mark ?
