Training 21

This was actually last week's Thursday's training session....we did a short control game, which is, two teams, and each team have to maintain possession as long as possible, as well as teaches us how to utilizes the whole pitch. And then we did a short sprint session, where we just walk around a big square area, first whistle is walk, second jog, third sprint ~ and this continue for approx 8-10 minutes, and then continue with the possession game. After that i switch over to the Fourth's side to have be a goalkeeper for their shooting session. A guy name Duke offer me advices and such for 1-by-1 and i must say, i learn a new thing today again.....the 1-by-1 session really teaches me alot, and even though i have height handicap in goalkeeping but the session teaches me, that as far as goalkeeper scare strikers lobbing them, strikers are scare that goalkeeper to break their legs.....

Australia F1 Grand Prix Pt.3: F1 and Misc

We began Part 3 with some girls action..

Then back to cars....Mercedes-Benz Petronas, my team of the year with their Mercedes MGP W01

BMW Sauber Ferrari's Sauber C29

Ferrari on their F10 machine..

McLaren's MP4-25

Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Racing's VR-01

Force India with their VJM03

Red Bull, dubbed having the fastest cars in 2010 season with their RB6, having personally experience their sound (nothing else...haha), their car have the most obvious difference compare to the other cars, judging from one corner, all the other car's sound and speed rises gradually as they exit the apex, but for the RB6, once they hit the apex, sound and the car itself spiked itself up like a Honda just engage VTEC or boost kicking in in a Turbo car, the car literally just 'jump' out of the apex as oppose to the other car that seemingly glides around it.....

And lastly, Malaysia's effort reflected on the Lotus Cosworth's T127......go Malaysia go !!

A weird cloud formation

This pic sorta speaks the both isn't it ?

Me on the Albert Park ~~`

Me and Andrew and Mister Cheeky behind us hahahhahaah

Next up, theres some car autoshow which includes some nice good cars, example this old picnic car haha, the Fiat 500

And the present Fiat 500, another nice reflection of how the replacement car retains the old identity of the previous car.

Abarth Edition !

Bumblebee was there as well....Chevy Camaro~

A track bike GSX-R i think...

R33 GTR..

This one has ATTKD brakes....for those of don't know, ATTKD stands for Autech-Tsukada, which is a uprising GT-R tuner based in Nagano, Japan and is ripping up records at Tsukuba circuit..

R32 GTR

Honda NSX w/ Wide body

And lastly, a Porsche 911 w/ Gulf Martini racing decal...nice ~~~~~

A Porsche Panamera as a Medical car !

They have a real scale display of the previous McLaren F1 car, the MP4-24, and have a short competition on the fastest tyre changing on a real scale, using a supposedly F1 spec air gun, the fastest record was 3.8 seconds, but the fastest i've seen that time was just 9 seconds, and that was like super fast ~ guess its really THAT HARD haha

And as a souvenir, i got this F1 Honda Racing (which has retired from F1) bag for just a mere 5 dollar ^^

And tat concludes the 100+ pics post of my first ever experience on F1....first of all, its amazing how we got to experience something that has used up tons of resources, man-power, brainstorming, as well as geniuses of engineering pushing the boundaries with the car as their footpath to achieving it as well as reflecting it. And we get to be apart of something as big as this, other than aeronautical or NASA-level engineering, F1 is probably the largest engineering breakthrough all over the years. And being a part of it will surely changes someone's life....

And again, i wont be expecting Lotus Cosworth to be on the championship, but do hope they finish well and come again next year, but for now, im putting my hopes,
on Team Mercedes Petronas GP

Reason? Go PETRONAS ~~~~!

(thank you Joe for some of the pictures)

Before the F1 practice starts, we have first, a GT car championship race, then a Vintage car race, and then we have the F1 practice, and after that, a V8 supercar exhibition race as well....but first, after the paddock where all the vintage car is, theres tons of erected white booth, all set up for setting up these......

It shows how brake cooling on open wheel have advanced to the now carbon fibre unit in F1 cars....

Big in size, low in height.....and an individual throttle-ed V8 behind the seat....

This car runs a different looking suspension setup....it runs a longer upper A-arm as it seems.....camber recovery aspect ??
Look at the rear tire compare to the water sprayer ~~

A board stating its historic values...

This one have all its body part to be taken off to work in.....(that time my mind was full with @!$!!$!) haha

The front member and suspension

Each cars are different than the others, some are big some are small, some are simple some are complex, each are very different than others thats why it give me a different feel becuz each car is so different, u spend time in garage to garage trying to study them and learn more about them, whats that part, what does it do, whats make it, whats effect it has? This car here, have two large size NACA duct on it...

While this car has a large radiator-like-cooling-scoop in front

The thing i spend the most time looking at is the suspension component of them....its just amazes me, how much time and thinking and effort have used to produce the angle, the length, the tensile strength of this linkage...

When i saw this i goes wooooo, woooooo, wooooooooo oooooooo

Individual runners..

Fuel pump....their close to the exhaust, and no insulation was seen, mayb its a way to heat up the fuel for better atomization ?

Engineering at best....

As i said, each car is different, even the way the exhaust manifold goes is different...

Longer runners as well...

Look at that rear wing + oil cooler set up !!

The cockpit...

Look at the size of steering compare to the tacho..

Whole view of the runners from the carbies on the V8..

As we're coming out a Porsche GT car roar its way to the garage....

Another different type of open wheel...

A fair example of how easy but functional front part some open wheelers have....

Striptease!

Top was happy he crashed one of the Porsche...and he was later being forced out from the Grand Prix for trying to steal the damaged bodypart.....hahahhahah no jz kidding...

Moroso valve cover.....

Aston Martin was participating in the GT too !

Know whats that car? Ascari KZ1 which was featured on Top Gear before..

Lotus Elise GT car...

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Lamborghini Gallardo...

Look at the wing...

Chevy Corvette Z06

Dodge Viper 2003-2006 SRT-10...seeing this car, revolutionizes my impression of 'wide-body'...

One of the 911 GT3 RS's boot was open for cooling (enlarge the pic for the carbon fiber boot)

Looks nothing more than original ??

Ferrari F430 GT

It has...carbon fiber intake covers, carbon fiber fuel tank, carbon fiber.......

As well as carbon fiber cooling duct...

Apparently, this isn't just a Ascari KZ1...its a KZ1-R....for competition purpose~

Wide body SRT-10 Viper...

Big and mean !

Mosler MT900 GT3

The front brakes at the Porsche track car.....uses the whole surface the rim can giv at max....

Me peeking on the Lotus wheels..

SSR rim !

Made in Japan....

Me and Andrew on another Lotus

Big big GT-level Brembo brakes and Moton Suspension...

Porsche 911 GT3 RS's front compartment...

Again, planet like brakes are common for these cars, as same as the Porsche...

The Sachs suspension of the Porsche even have a adjustable function for bump and rebound

While this is the suspension on the F430 Ferrari....

And a Gallardo GT

Brakes by Lamborghini but disk brake is aftermarket...

The suspension ..

The back and the engine compartment...

Rear brakes...look at the caliper coming out, need big offset for those...

Adjustable adjustable...

One of the Mosler has one of its cylinder head out, showing its pistons...as well as strange holes up on the cylinder...wonder whats that for...

The Honeycomb structure on the bodykit of the Mosler...

And to show how they scrap off crap from their slick tires on the old open wheelers....
