1991, an automotive engineer known as Claudio Zampolli and music composer Giorgio Moroder joint up with a crew of ex-Lamborghini employees to built a, mass produce sport car with V16 engine, after the Cadillac V16, the Cizeta-Moroder V16T.
The engine isn't a true V16 actually, its just two 90 degrees flat plane V8 bolted to a single block, with a top speed of 328km/h and 0-100 in less then 4 secs. Some of the well known owner of the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, The Sultan of Brunei himself (watttt a surprise ~ wowwwww~~~~=.=) with 2 cars.
Although the car's name was Cizeta-Moroder V16T, only the prototype car was named Cizeta-Moroder V16T, and the production car was simply called the Cizeta V16T.
From the 4 years duration which the Cizeta company runs, this being their only production car, and has only sold 8 in 4 years. Till 1995.
And although only 8 of them was made and, with various luxury features with an astounding performance chart for the year back then, none of them was road legal nor legal to own in all the states in America, as one was being confiscated by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in 2009. This along side, the Bugatti Veyron, remains the one of only three cars in production history, to have 16 cylinder engine.
Sound of the Cizeta-Moroder V16T revving.
(Superbike in disguise?!)
